Known facts
For an FDA-approved finished drug, the approval and manufacturing system applies to a specific product, facility, formulation and labeling. Unapproved drugs have not undergone FDA review for safety, effectiveness, quality or labeling. A seller’s COA may provide information about the sample tested, but it does not automatically prove that the sample came from the customer’s vial or that every vial in the batch is equivalent.
Assay testing and identity testing answer different questions. A potency result also does not establish sterility, endotoxin control, particulate control, container integrity or correct storage. For any report to be interpretable, readers need the laboratory identity, sample ID, batch number, method, units, dates and chain of custody.
What remains uncertain
Without independent sampling, it may be impossible to know whether:
Injection discomfort or lack of discomfort is not a potency test.
