When reading about Turinabol history, would you treat a diary entry and a much later interview with the same person differently? Imagine both are available, but the person remembers an event differently in the interview. Neither account has to be invented for that disagreement to be worth noticing.
Would you lean toward the account written at the time, or want to know what the person learned afterward before choosing between them?
A diary could leave things out too. I'd want to keep both dates attached to the accounts rather than blend them into one seamless story. How do you handle that sort of disagreement when you're reading history for yourself?
